THE HIPPO PAVILION
As part of the “Ithaca Zoo” the Hippo Pavilion takes it’s inspiration from the skin and many folds of the hippo’s neck. These folds are utilised to create a pavilion for both hippo’s and humans. The folds serve both as structure and as a device to create mini waterfalls which the hippos play under coinciding with folds that bring people to the animal’s eye level.
